About New Heights Field Hockey Club
New Heights Field Hockey Club, LLC provides a combination of services that
address the needs of the coaching staff reflects U.S. and International experience
with playing and/or coaching at the collegiate and national level. Our coaches take
an innovative approach to developing the technical strategies and motivational
potential of each player. We take pride in our ability to "make a difference" for
athletes at each for skill level.
Ahmed Elmaghraby is a decorated hockey player in both Egypt and the United States,
Elmaghraby competed for Egypt in two World Cups and for the United States in the 1996
Olympic Games during his illustrious career. Since retiring from international competition he
has established himself as an elite youth coach as well as a significant member of the New
Heights Club coaching staff.
Elmaghraby was named to the Egyptian National Team at the age of 14. In 1984, he helped
lead Egypt to a silver medal at the African Games and three years later scored nine goals in
the tournament as the youngest player involved. He twice participated at the Hockey World
Cup with Egypt. In 1988, he captained Egypt to the Gold Medal at the African Games,
finishing as the tournament’s top scorer and was named best player.
In 1993, Ahmed switched to the United States National Team in time to compete in the U.S.
Olympics Festival where he won a gold medal and was the top scorer. His team repeated the
feat at the 1995 U.S. Olympic Festival and he was again the top scorer. After competing with
the American team for three years, he represented the United States at the 1996 Summer
Games in Atlanta. During his career, he competed in over 195 International matches for Egypt
and the United States combined.
Mokhter “Mo” Elhendy
Mo Elhendy played over 52 International games for Egypt. He played for an international team for 8 years.
- In 1981, Mo played in the African cup.
- In 1984, Mo and Ahmed Almaghraby played together in the African cup and won Silver!
- In 1987, Mo and Ahmed competed together in the African cup.
- In 1989, Mo and Ahmed, again, played together for the International cup.
Yasser Elsabgh played over 50 International games for Egypt. He went on to work with the Egyptian national team as the goalkeeper coach for 3 years.
- In 1981 Yasser played in the African cup.
- In 1984, Yasser played with Ahmed Almaghraby and Mo Elhendy for Egypt in the African cup and they won Silver!
- In 1985, Yasser and Ahmed played together in the World Cup in Canada.
Both of these gentlemen are valued additions to New Heights Field Hockey Club. They both have solid backgrounds that demonstrate their athletic ability in the sport of field hockey as well as their dedication to the sport .
Jill is a graduate of Wall High School, Trenton State College and holds a Masters Degree in Exercise
Science from UCONN. While at TSC she participated in Field Hockey and Lacrosse, helping the Lions
capture 3 National Titles in LAX and 2 National Titles in FH. Jill was captain for both sports in her
Senior year. She was a Regional All-American for both FH and LAX and was a Final Four Selection,
2X in LAX and 1X in FH. Jill has been the Head Coach for Girl’s Lacrosse and Field Hockey at West
Essex for the past 12 years, where her teams pride themselves in their spirit, strength and unity. Her
field hockey team record at West Essex is 251-19-4.
